Katherine Aquatic Centre Shade Structure Installation
The Katherine Aquatic Centre will be soon be sun smarter with the installation of additional shade to the northern end of the pool. Installation will commence Monday 24 February and will mirror the existing shad structure.
The Katherine Community have been asking for this project and Katherine Town Council is excited to have this development completed as quick as possible.
To allow for these works to be completed the Aquatic Centre will be closed to the public on the below dates:
- Tuesday 25 & Wednesday 26 February – Due to Hydro Vac of Footings
- Monday 2 March – Installation of Cages & Concrete Pour
- Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 March – Erect Posts & Sails.
Katherine Town Council and the YMCA have been working closely to ensure as minimal impact as possible to all users.
