Administration Manager - Casey Anderson

Casey joined Council in 2018, bringing with her skills in local government from her previous work in a regional council. In total she has over a decade of experience in the industry.

Her background includes administrative services, governance, human resources, and project coordination, which has seen her rise through the ranks to her role today as Council’s Administration Manager, and ensures Council delivers excellent corporate services.

Casey is responsible for managing Council’s internal administrative processes and the customer services team. She also oversees the complex rates process and the team responsible for this.

Born and raised in Katherine, Casey believes in working for the greater good whilst serving and engaging with the community and is committed to Katherine and local government.  


Services Manager - Brett Kimpton

Brett started with Council in 2023 as Services Manager. His role focuses on providing customer service and ensuring Council’s facilities, including the Waste Management Facility, Katherine Airport, and the Katherine Aquatic Centre, are compliant.

He has over 20 years of experience in industries including transport and logistics, rail, aviation, and waste management. He worked management roles in both remote and urban locations across the Northern Territory and Western Australia.

Brett enjoys the relaxed lifestyle of Katherine and its proximity to national parks and natural attractions. In his spare time he goes camping, four-wheel driving, travelling, and keeping active/playing sport.


Executive and Governance Officer - Amanda Haigh

Amanda Haigh joined Council in late 2022 and her work supports CEO Ingrid Stonhill in tending to competing priorities, delivery of council programs, and managing relationships.

Amanda has a wealth of experience and passion for local government and was awarded the 2023 Local Government Public Services Officer award from the Local Government Association of the Northern Territory (LGANT).

Amanda came from the Northern Territory Government’s Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet, where she was a project manager. In her role there, she engaged with government agencies, elected representatives, and community members. She was also chair of the Big Rivers Waste Management Working Group, leading the circular economy agenda. Haigh also previously worked at the Roper Gulf Regional Council for eight years providing governance, corporate services, financial management and strategic direction.

Amanda has made Katherine home for over 10 years, after spending time on rural stations. She enjoys the lifestyle and fishing here. 


Manager Employee Engagement 

- Irenee McCreevy

Irenee joined Council in 2023 as Manager Employee Engagement. Her role leads Council’s human resources and work health and safety functions, providing key services and support to Council staff.

Irenee’s background includes experience in Local Government in the Northern Territory, Victoria and New South Wales as well as working in Mining, IT and the Arts. Her passion is to work with staff and people managers to build high performing and engaged teams.

Happiest in the outdoors, Irenee loves camping, bike riding, exploring new places and relaxing with a beautiful Katherine sunset.
