Nominations for Katherine Town Council International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) Awards are now open.
The categories are:
- Outstanding Person with a Disability
- Outstanding Service Provider
- Outstanding Support Person or Teacher

This year, Katherine Town Council will mark International Day of People with Disability by holding a morning tea at Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre on 3 December where the winners of the awards will be presented and we encourage all people with disability, their families and carers to come along and celebrate.
Mayor Clark said, “It is important we start a conversation about the issues experienced by people with disability and celebrate their achievements and encourage inclusion within our community.
