Join us for Doggy Day 2021

Katherine Town Council invites the community and their furry friends to the 2021 Doggy Day! This year is set to be bigger and better than ever. You don’t want to miss out! 

The event is scheduled for Saturday 10 July 2021, between 9:00am and 12:00pm at the Civic Centre Lawns. There is the opportunity to register your dog, talk with local veterinarians and Council rangers and to see what dog services are in Katherine and the surrounding areas. 

On the day there will be over 10 stallholders for you and your pooches to enjoy.

Want to win prizes? Enter into any of the five (5) competitions! Make sure you get down to Doggy Day at least 15 minutes before the competition is due to run so you have time to enter your furry friend. There are some amazing prizes to be won that have been generously donated by Northern Territory Veterinary Services, Aussie Pooch Nutrition & Wellbeing, Natural Medicine for Pets, Katherine Outback Experience, Pawsitive K9 Behaviour and Town & Country Butchers / Lenards.

Winner Announced for Cutest Dog Photo and Quiz Competition 

Funniest Dog Photo / Cutest Dog Photo Competition 

In the lead up to Doggy Day, Council ran the funniest dog photo competition. Congratulations Jodie for submitting her photo of Bluey and winning a doggy hamper which included: A lifetime dog registration (Dog must be microchipped and de-sexed), a dog bone voucher from Town & Country Butchers / Lenards, a KTC dog lead, a dog toy basket, a dog toy and dog treats. 

If you missed out on the funniest dog photo competition, why not enter your pooch into the cutest dog photo competition which is still open. Submit the cutest photo of your dog/s and you could win a prize hamper donated by Northern Territory Veterinary Services. Submit through Councils website by Monday 5 July. Shortlisted photos will be voted on by attendees at Doggy Day.
