Contribute to Katherine's future

Have your say on what Katherine Town Council uses your rates for. The council has two upcoming community consultations and an online survey, aimed at gaining feedback to create long-term goals for Katherine.

“It’s about creating a long-term vision for Katherine that can guide council in its service delivery,” Katherine mayor Lis Clark said.

Maybe you think Katherine needs more shaded areas, or youth support, or undercover car parking. Get your views heard by filling out our short online survey. It asks what you think Katherine’s priorities should be for the next five years, and in the future. You may want different things over this time, or maybe just the same thing.

The community’s feedback will be analysed and published in a Strategic Plan to guide council’s decision making and ensure its services are aligned.

“This plan will be driven by the community’s views so we need them to be involved,” mayor Clark said. “Yes, council will deliver the plan, but it is the community’s plan.”

Come to our Community Consultation:

  • Wednesday May 4, and Thursday May 5
  • 6pm-7pm
  • Guided audience session at GYRACC on 3238 Stuart Highway
  • Tea, coffee, water, and biscuits will be available.

Consultants will guide the audience in these consultations to better understand issues they have researched in Katherine such as housing, entertainment facilities, and public infrastructure.

Submit your responses to a short 10-minute survey here.

The survey asks what your priorities are for now, and the future.
