At its Ordinary Meeting of Council, held last night, Tuesday 28th February, elected members voted in Cr Denis Coburn as its new Deputy Mayor.
The Deputy Mayor’s position became vacant when the previous member left town, leaving with 7 months still in the position term to serve.
The position of Deputy Mayor will become vacant again in September 2023, after the Council’s by-election to appoint two new councillors.
The Katherine Town Council welcomes Cr Denis Coburn as Deputy Mayor and looks forward to working with him in this greater capacity role.
