Council invites food vendors to sign up for popular event

Last year’s successful Katherine Food Collective event is returning bigger and better for the 2023 dry season.

Kicking off Thursday May 18 and running every second Thursday through to July 27, these six evenings will provide a variety of food as well as live entertainment for residents and visitors.

“There is a wonderful ambience about this event,” Katherine Town Council Mayor Lis Clark said. “It’s great to see the community relax together, eating out and appreciating the outdoors.”

Council is again collaborating with the Northern Territory Government and Activate Katherine to hold the event. Food vendors are being called on to get in contact with Council to sell their product at the event.

“Last year was an example of how successful this was,” Ms. Clark said. “There were plenty of hungry people to serve.”

Council is looking for exciting food businesses and is not just limited to food vans. Vendors will need to commit to most of the dates.
