Media Release - 2024 Katherine Food Collective Calls for Vendors

Published on Tuesday, 19 March 2024 at 12:10:27 PM

Katherine Town Council announced the hugely popular Katherine Food Collective will run for a third year this dry season and has opened its Expression of Interest process for food vendors.

The community event offers food and entertainment every second Thursday night for 12 weeks, beginning on the 1st of May, in the CBD car park next to Katherine Cinema 3.

CEO Ingrid Stonhill said a community survey conducted by the Council last year revealed the community wanted the dry season event back again this year, bigger and better.

“This event has continued to grow since we trialled it in 2022. Last year, our food vendors sold over 6000 meals, and we anticipate growth again this year,” Ms Stonhill said.

“We will also introduce a season finale in 2024, celebrating the final night with a street party.”

Council hopes to retain past food vendors while attracting some new dining options.

There is no fee for vendors to participate but they must have current insurance and NT Food registration and commit to attend the majority of event dates.

Vendors can submit their Expression of Interest here
