The Junk Festival is Katherine’s annual celebration of community spirit, creativity, and sustainability. Held on Saturday, 31 May from 5:00pm to 10:00pm at the Katherine Speedway (Bicentennial Road), this family-friendly event showcases incredible junk sculptures, repurposed fashion, live music, and dance performances. Sculpture drop-off for competition entry is on Sunday, 25 May at the Lindsay St Complex between 9:00am and 5:00pm and it’s completely free to enter. Junk fashion and hats don’t need to be registered, just wear them on the night!
