Works Coordinator

About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Infrastructure and Municipal, you will coordinate the delivery of scheduled and reactive municipal works, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with Council priorities.
You will:

Plan and coordinate works programs across roads, parks, gardens, and Council assets

Lead and supervise the Works Team, including performance, training, and development
-
Ensure strong Work Health and Safety (WHS) compliance, including SWMS and JSA processes
-
Manage service requests and ensure timely completion of works
-
Oversee asset maintenance, including buildings, roads, footpaths, and infrastructure
-
Coordinate plant, equipment, and resources to support service delivery
-
Monitor and manage budgets and procurement to achieve value for money
-
Maintain and improve work scheduling, reporting, and operational processes
This is a hands-on leadership role combining works coordination, team management, WHS compliance, and asset management.

About You
You will bring:

Experience coordinating municipal works, construction, or infrastructure services
-
Proven ability leading and managing operational teams
-
Strong knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices and compliance
-
Experience managing works programs, schedules, and service delivery
-
Ability to manage budgets, resources, and plant/equipment
-
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage staff and stakeholders
Essential Requirements

Current NT Driver’s Licence
-
Current HR Licence
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
-
Demonstrated experience in WHS compliance and safe work practices
