Swearing-in Ceremony for Katherine Town Council’s New Mayor and Councillors

Katherine Town Council’s newly elected Mayor, Joanna Holden, and Councillors Kathryn Whitehouse, Jim King, Mel Doyle, Toni Tapp Coutts, Kathy Glass and Anjali Palmer will be formally sworn in on Tuesday, 23 September 2025.

The ceremony will take place in the Wilton Room at the Roper Gulf Regional Council building, 2 Crawford Street, Katherine, commencing at 10.30 am. Guests are asked to arrive at 10.15 am and enter through the second gate, where the Wilton Room entrance will be clearly visible.

Acting CEO, Casey Anderson, said the swearing-in is an important milestone for the Katherine community.

“On behalf of the Katherine Town Council, I congratulate the Mayor and incoming Council. This is a great opportunity to build on the work of previous Councils while bringing fresh perspectives to the table,” Ms Anderson said.

“Our Council team looks forward to supporting the newly elected members.”
