Centenary Sports Carnival

10am – 4pm, 27 June 2026 – Katherine Sportsgrounds

Katherine Town Council is inviting sporting clubs, community groups, local businesses and vendors to be part of one of the biggest events in Katherine’s Centenary Year.

The Centenary Sports Carnival will be held on Saturday, 27 June 2026, at the Katherine Sportsground, as part of celebrations marking 100 years since Katherine was officially gazetted.

The carnival will celebrate Katherine’s strong sporting culture and community spirit, with opportunities for groups and organisations to showcase what they do, connect with the community and take part in a fun, family-friendly day.

We are looking for involvement through:

  • Hosting mini sports competitions or activities
  • Running sports demonstrations
  • Delivering workshops or interactive sessions
  • Providing community information, health or wellbeing stalls
  • Selling food, drinks or other items as a vendor
