With the July school holidays underway, Katherine Town Council is pleased to present a series of free family-friendly events as part of the July 2025 School Holiday Program.
This program has been designed to provide safe, engaging, and accessible entertainment for children and families across the region. It aims to support local families by offering meaningful activities at no cost throughout the school holidays.
Katherine Town Council will be hosting:
Outdoor Movie Night Monday
30 June | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM | Town Square
Enjoy a movie under the stars, complete with a free community BBQ.
Indoor Cinema Screenings
Tuesday, 9 July | Katherine Cinema
- 1:00 PM – Lilo & Stitch
- 5:00 PM – The Lego Movie
The Amazing Drumming Monkeys Puppet Show
Friday, 4 July | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Civic Centre Lawns
A returning favourite, this lively puppet show is sure to entertain all ages.
Mayor Lis Clark said the program reflects Council’s commitment to inclusive and enjoyable community events: “The School Holiday Program is all about creating joyful memories and supporting our families. Council is proud to deliver more initiatives that bring the Katherine community together.”
