Works on the $3M CBD Revitalisation project have commenced today.
The successful contractor, Katherine Constructions has been awarded this exciting project which will see the complete refurbishment of the existing Town Square. The works include the creation of a natural shade tree canopy through the accessible square, incorporating audio visual and decorative lighting capacity and cooling misters. It will also house a portable café/kiosk and the construction of a new ablution block.

"This is a positive boost for our community and the appointment of a local contractor will ensure the financial flow-on of this project will have the greatest benefit to our local community," Mayor Miller said.
Works are estimated to be completed in December 2020.
Whilst these works are in progress, Council requests that the community please adhere to all signage and traffic controls.
Katherine Town Council acknowledges the generous support of the Northern Territory Government towards this project.
