The resurfacing of Oval 2 has begun today, 12 January 2021.
The project has been awarded to Sterling NT and will see the complete resurfacing of Sportsgrounds Oval 2 including newly upgraded irrigation and drainage. The project is expected to take up to eight (8) weeks and the completed project will see an increased standard of playing surface in Katherine.
To ensure the oval has had time to be established, Katherine Town Council will not be taking hires for Oval 2 until May 2021. Please note all other ovals within the precinct are available for hire, subject to availability. Please contact Council staff to discuss any facility hire requirements for the future.
Council asks the Community to please adhere to all signage and we thank you for your patience during this project.
