From 7:30 am families can explore Katherine’s history through a scavenger hunt.
Download your map or pick up one at the registration table 7.30 - 9.30 at the Katherine Club Aust Day Brekky, and take a journey around key historical and cultural sites around town. Each stop reveals a story, photo, or fun fact about Katherine’s 100 years.
10 am – 12 pm: Citizenship Ceremony and Citizen of the Year Awards, GYRACC
Council will host its annual Citizenship Ceremony at Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre, formally welcoming new Australian citizens and recognising Katherine’s Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Event of the Year recipients. The ceremony is open to the public.
The ceremony will conclude at around 11.30 am. Unfortunately, the RAAF is unable to conclude the event with a flypast this year due to operational considerations.
12 pm – 3 pm cool off after the scavenger hunt at Katherine Aquatic Centre! Dj Kiwa, kids' activities and loads of fun!
