Mel Doyle moved to Katherine in 2024, bringing with her a strong sense of community and an understanding of the challenges of regional life, having raised her family in outback Queensland.
Elected to Katherine Town Council in 2025, Mel’s vision is to help build a thriving, connected and safe town that celebrates its people, culture and natural beauty. She wants Katherine to be a place where people choose to live, where local businesses are supported to grow, and where visitors are encouraged to return.
Mel is committed to working with her fellow councillors to represent the community and deliver on the priorities that matter most to Katherine residents.
