Jo Brosnan has been a communication and stakeholder engagement specialist in Northern Territory government and private consultancies for over 25 years. Much of her work has been in agriculture, tourism, local government and Indigenous engagement.
With a B.A. in Journalism, an IAP2 Advanced Certificate in Public Participation, and a Cert.IV in Training and Assessment, Jo is passionate about listening, writing, and embedding community consultation skills and processes in workplaces.
Jo’s lifelong love of the Territory started with a ‘quick visit’ to VRD station in the 1980s. This led to a 30-year NT adventure, including owning a business with her husband, Bernie, in Katherine. Jo and Bernie maintain a strong local network throughout the Big Rivers region and have family at Daly River. She now manages Katherine Town Council’s strategic communication, using a flexible arrangement that incorporates in-house and remote work.
