From Monday December 5, the Katherine Visitor Information Centre (KVIC) will be temporarily relocated to a pop-up kiosk at the Katherine Public Library on 18 Katherine Terrace.
This is due to minor repairs/upgrades required to the building and recruitment of staff for the dry season.
The temporary site in the library will be manned by KVIC staff.
Hours of the pop-up kiosk will be:
- Monday to Friday: 10am – 2pm
- Saturday: 9am – 12pm
- Sunday: Closed
Staff at the pop-up kiosk will have capacity to continue providing the following:
- Information on local attractions, events, retail and local services
- Information and/or booking services for accommodation, tours and attractions
- Maps and direction information
- Information on road conditions and transport options
- General advice to meet visitor needs
- Booking facilities
KVIC staff will continue to provide email, telephone and online information and booking services.
The service will return to operating at the Katherine Visitor Information Centre no later than March 1, 2023.
