Katherine Town Council will trial moving its March council meeting to the daytime, rather than in the evening.
“We think this is a progressive move for council,” CEO Ingrid Stonhill said. “It allows residents to attend, who may not have been able to afterhours due to other commitments. It also ensures councillors and staff are fresh to the task, rather than after a long day at work.”
The March Ordinary Meeting of Council will start from midday on Tuesday March 28.
“It’s a trial,” Ms. Stonhill said. “If it works well, we will continue.”
