Rapid Response Buggy is Back on Track

Katherine Town Council’s Rapid Response Buggy crew will be back collecting rubbish and reporting incidents around the CBD from Wednesday 24 January.

Its services were paused late last year when staff shortages impacted its operations.

The Northern Territory Government gifted the buggy to the Council in July 2023 to combat rubbish and graffiti problems in and around the town centre.

It operates on footpaths from 8 am to 2 pm each weekday and, along with the public Snap Send Solve tool, it’s a valuable extra set of eyes and ears to identify problems for Council’s attention.
