Queensland Ballet is Coming to Katherine

Queensland Ballet’s (QB) biggest Regional Community Tour is coming to Katherine! The tour will share its magic across 34 locations in the Northern Territory and Queensland.

Whether you are an aspiring ballerina or danseur, or just love to dance, there is something on offer for all ages and abilities.

Community Classes range from QB Petit Pointers aimed to enthral the littlest lovers of dance, to a tailored Ballet for Seniors class for mature active adults. Children from six (6) to 17-years-old will also delight in tailored ballet workshops.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to have Queensland Ballet coming to Katherine. Classes being hosted by ballet professionals is not something you see often in a small regional town like ours. It’s great to see classes catered for a wide range of ages and skill levels and I encourage all dance lovers to book in today!” Said Mayor Lis Clark.

The best part of this is that these classes are free! What are you waiting for, register today! For more information or to book a spot click here.

The In-School workshops provide safe, educative, and inclusive dance experiences for students in kindergartens and schools. The workshops are delivered by an expert team of QB Teaching Artists and are designed to complement the Early Years Learning Framework, Australian Curriculum and Senior Dance Syllabus learning outcomes.

Thanks to Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts & Culture Centre (GYRACC) for hosting Queensland Ballet.
