Media Release - KTC Appoints New CEO - 28 January 2022
Ingrid Stonhill has been appointed Katherine Town Council’s new CEO.
Ingrid is familiar with the Katherine region, and believes Katherine is still the frontier town it always has been.
"What has captured my interest the most, and my want to contribute to the Katherine Town Council, is the overflowing exuberance and passion for the community and the region, which has existed since Katherine was established”. – Ingrid Stonhill
Ingrid has had many achievements throughout her career, but most of all, her stakeholder and community engagement skills are highly developed. Ingrid has demonstrated that her leadership values include the actions of integrity, team inclusiveness, developing and mentoring others.
Ingrid also has sound knowledge regarding economic development and is passionate about good governance and how it can help the community it serves.
Ingrid is ready to start this new chapter and Council is excited for her arrival.
Ingrid is due to commence 7 February 2022.
Today we farewelled Council’s previous CEO, Ian Bodill.
On behalf of the Council and staff, we would like to thank Ian for all the mentoring, support, and leadership he has effortlessly given to the Council and the Katherine Community.
We wish Ian all the best in his future endeavours and hope he continues to show off his Barra at the next stop.
For the interim, Brendan Pearce will be acting CEO from 28 January 2022 until 7 February 2022.
