Earlier this year Katherine won the Northern Territory’s Top Tourism Town Award and has been waiting patiently for the time to come where it will represent the NT at the National awards.
Well, that time has come. Katherine will now represent the NT at the National Awards and hopes to be named Australia’s Top Tourism Town on the 28 October 2021.
Mayor Clark said that ‘this is an exciting time for the people and operators of Katherine. The awards recognise those local Tourism Operators, Visitor Centres and Councils committed to making their town the very best destination it can be”.
“Thank you to all Northern Territorians who did their bit for our tourism economy. Thank you for spending time in our beautiful region and spending your hard-earned dollars with local businesses” said Mayor Lis Clark.
The awards will be broadcast via a livestreamed event on Thursday, 28 October 2021 at 11.30am (ACST). Please click here to watch the event or join us at the Chambers, Civic Centre.
