Apply for a Katherine Community Grant

Apply for up to $5000 to help with your community project in Katherine, before Thursday September 15.

Katherine Town Council has $40,000 to inject into the community and support local not-for-profits.

“This is a program that helps fund vital community organisations in Katherine that enrich the fabric of our town,” Katherine mayor Lis Clark said. “It’s important that these organisations have access to resources like this to keep their valuable work going.”

Applicants can apply for up to $5,000 in the major grant category and up to $2,000 in the minor grant category.

Last year Katherine Pride Festival, which was held in June this year, received a $5,000 grant, as did the Arafura Wind Ensemble who played at last year’s Christmas Carols.

In the minor grant category, Bowls NT last year received $2,000 for equipment and the Food Ladder received $1,508 for a community farm amenity upgrade.

“I encourage local organisations to get their applications in as soon as possible," mayor Clark said. "We want to see this money spent and making a difference in our community.”
