This is your chance to give a shout out to people you think are being extraordinary in Katherine. There are three categories. Nominate them for either Katherine Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year & Community Event.
Nominations acknowledge someone’s work and pushes positivity forward. It’s also something they can use in their professional life and young citizens can put it on their resume. Katherine Citizens of the Year represent Katherine and perform a civic duty in welcoming new citizens at citizenship ceremonies throughout the year.
If you’re racking your brain about who to nominate here are some suggestions:
Who have you noticed making a difference in Katherine?
Whose voice do you want to amplify?
Who is working quietly behind the scenes that you think should be acknowledged?
The successful recipients will be acknowledged on Australia Day next year as part of Council’s Australia Day celebrations which promote understanding, respect, and reconciliation.
Please provide as much information as possible. Additional documents may be attached providing further information of testimonials of achievement.
