“Everything Katherine” App – Free advertising service for your business!

COVID-19 has impacted the whole Katherine community over the past couple of weeks and is continuing to have dramatic consequences for local businesses. 

In particular - restaurants, cafes, local shops and trades services will be finding these times hard as they adapt their service delivery to the new restrictions.

To help support the changing ways of doing business, Katherine Town Council is currently developing an "Everything Katherine" App which looks to create one central point for promoting local businesses in the Katherine region as well as services, support and advice.

Council Services Changes Due to COVID-19

In accordance with Federal Government restrictions and social distancing measures, Katherine Town Council has made a number of significant changes to our services.

To limit the spread of COVID-19 and to adhere to these restrictions, Council is ceasing all facility hires for the foreseeable future.

Other areas of Council services have been altered including counter customer service through the Katherine Town Council Civic Centre, Katherine Public Library and Katherine Visitor Information Centre. These restrictions are outlined below:

Katherine Town Council Civic Centre

The Civic Centre is open to the public 

Katherine Public Library

The Katherine Public Library is closed to the public and will be offering services from a remote capacity. Please contact the Library during business hours or follow Katherine Public Library on Facebook to keep up to date with revised services.

Visitor Information Centre

The Visitor Information Centre is open to the public. 

Rates

Interest on outstanding rate balances and any legal action will be immediately suspended until 30 June 2020 at which time this measure will be reviewed.
