Visitor Information Centre Solar Panels Installation
Katherine Town Council is pleased to announce our improvement of our environmental footprint with the installation of solar panels for the Katherine Visitor Information Centre.
The Visitor Information Centre was approved for an Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Grant in 2018-2019 from the Northern Territory Government. Electricity from solar power is a very important energy source in the move to clean energy production.
The installation of the solar panels are due to commence 28 January 2020 and will take one (1) week to complete. There may be minor disruptions at the facility, however, no services will be impacted.
Katherine Town Council are always looking at ways to become more sustainable.
