"The Katherine Museum is a valuable community asset. It is important that Katherine Town Council works with The Historical Society of Katherine Inc to ensure that our towns stories are told well into the future" Mayor Fay Miller.
"The signing of this partnership agreement acknowledges the commitment by both parties towards the long-term viability of the museum."
“The board of The Historical Society of Katherine Inc would like to thank the Katherine Town Council and the Northern Territory Government for their contributions to the Katherine Museum. We look forward to working together with the Katherine Town Council, Northern Territory Government and the Department of Trade, Business and Innovation” Lauren Reed on behalf of The Historical Society of Katherine Inc Board.
“We believe, The Katherine Museum belongs to the people of our town and the Historical Society are simply the caretakers. From our displays of rare Aboriginal artifacts, the Stolen Generation Healing Gardens to the memories of our pastoral industry. The Museum shares the stories of iconic Territory aviation including the bombing of Katherine in World War II”.
