How to pay your rates

You have the flexibility to settle your rates through either a lump-sum payment or convenient installments. Your comprehensive annual rates notice specifies the installment amount due, along with the corresponding payment deadline.

Paying by instalments, check your rates notice for the instalment amount and should a payment fall on a weekend, payments can be made electronically.

Instalment due dates

  • Instalment 1: 30 September
  • Instalment 2: 30 November
  • Instalment 3: 31 January
  • Instalment 4: 31 March

In the event that your payment is not received by the stipulated due date, the account will be deemed as being in arrears. Subsequently, accounts in arrears will be subject to a penalty, calculated on a daily basis on the outstanding amount. This calculation commences from the date on which the missed installment was due and continues until the full payment is received.

Late payment penalties are assessed at a rate of 9% per annum.
