posted 28-Mar-2019

Thanks to funding from Northern Territory PHN, there is an amazing opportunity to apply for grants up to $10,000 for community projects and events aimed at benefiting Katherines’ overall wellbeing.

Wellbeing goes past just health and fitness it includes your mental health, social, learning, emotional and physical.

Katherine Town Council understand many factors influence wellbeing, considering this we are accepting any application we believe can benefit the community as a whole or in part.

Examples of projects that could benefit community wellbeing include (but are not limited to);

  • Events (sporting, youth, music, senior, creativity & other)

  • Training opportunities

  • Public art projects

  • School projects/events

  • Development of support groups

This is a great chance for businesses, organisations and community groups to connect and enhance their relationship with the people of Katherine.

“We are pleased to be able to support the community to access these wellbeing grants,” said Northern Territory PHN CEO Nicki Herriot, “we look forward to seeing the range of projects that come out of the grant program and the positive impact these activities will have on the Katherine community.”
