Katherine Public Library receives a record number of kids for the School Holiday Programposted 11-Oct-2018
This week wraps up a hugely successful Katherine Public Library school holiday Program.
Last week the Library was jammed packed with children that attended the Mosaic Art activity.
“We were so pleased with the turn out for this new and different activity that was offered on the school holiday program. A child mentioned that the best part of this activity was gluing little tiles on the frames,” said Rajni Bala, the Library Program Coordinator.
On Tuesday the Library again was jammed packed with 30 children joining us for the designing and decorating in the Calico Bags activity.
“Another well attended event, we needed to set up tables throughout the library to accommodate the huge numbers,” said Rajni Bala, the Library Program Coordinator. She continued, “Designing activities help children to learn about problem solving, visualise their imagination, help them to create their own pattern and giving them confidence to make choices.”
Please keep an eye out for the next school holiday program.
