Showgrounds
The Showground is a major facility for the Katherine community and consists of:
- The main Showground Arena and Football Field
- Grandstand/Show Office/Change rooms
- Jim Jackson Race Course/Buntine Pavilion
- Stuart Memorial Hall
- Norforce Pavilion
- Horse Stalls and Cattle Yards
- Rodeo Arena
- Polo Cross Field and Model Aeroplane landing ground
The Showgrounds has a large central oval, a variety of sheds and outdoor areas, extensive parking, camping areas with ablution blocks offering showers, toilets and disabled access and a large grandstand with shower/toilet facilities. The Showgrounds is fully fenced with three entry points.
The facilities are available for hire year round, excepting the month of July when it is used for the annual Katherine Show. Horse and cattle stalls and some camping are available for hire from the Katherine and District Show Society who can be contact on Ph: 08 8972 1746.
